Dennis Griffin

Founder & CEO

Dennis brings 15 years of deep technical knowledge in cyber-defense, penetration testing, and incident response. He has helped organizations of all sizes, small SMBs to Fortune 500, increase their security posture during his career. Prior to DarkBytes he served as a Product Manager at Vidder and a security consultant for KPMG, United States Air Force, Lockheed Martin, New York Stock Exchange, among others.

Matthew Adams

Co-founder & Chief Engineer

Matt brings 15 years of experience in software design, cloud computing, and cyber-security. He’s worked at the intersection of DevOps, cloud, and cyber-security in numerous large enterprises and government organizations. Prior to DarkBytes he filled key technical and operational roles at Vidder, Stelligent (acquired by HOSTING), and Northrop Grumman. Matt also served in the U.S. Coast Guard for 6 years.

Brent Bilger


Brent Bilger has been involved in the definition and implementation of security and networking products for over 25 years, including Firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, configuration compliance, privileged access management, identity and access management, and IP routing. Most recently, he was an Executive in Residence at US Venture Partners. Prior to that he was the vice president of marketing at CloudPassage, a leading security SaaS company for elastic clouds. Other companies he’s been involved with, in either an operational or consulting role, include FastSoft, Nicira, Altor Networks, Force10 Networks, MMC Networks, and Cisco Systems. He holds an AB in Math and BE in Engineering from Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College and an ME from Cornell University.

Mark Hoover


Mark Hoover has been involved in the technology and market development of security and networking technologies over a period of almost 30 years, including Firewalls, VPNs, IP routing, ATM, Gigabit Ethernet Switching, and load balancers. Most recently, he has been a Venture Partner at Woodside Fund for two years. Prior to that he was the president of Acuitive, a strategic marketing consulting firm that helped define product and market strategies for start-ups, including Brocade, Alteon Websystems, Netscreen, Maverick Semiconductor, Redline Networks, and many others. He started his career at AT&T Bell Labs and moved to SynOptics/Bay Networks before founding Acuitive.

Alan Boehme


Alan Boehme serves as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Procter & Gamble. His past positions include Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) and Chief of Enterprise Architecture, Business Innovation and Emerging Technologies at Coca-Cola company with responsibility for Global IT Operations. Alan is a Founder of Cloud Security Alliance (CSA). Prior to that he served as the CIO of Juniper Networks, Safe Software, and Best Software. He also serves on advisory boards for number of start-ups and venture capital firms in the Silicon Valley including Vectra Networks, Nutanix, Netskope, Apigee, VeloCloud, among others.

Javier Polit


Javier Polit has been the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at The Procter & Gamble. Prior to that he served as Global Chief Information Officer, Bottling Investments Group The Coca Cola Company, Vice President of Global Corporate at Systems Office Depot, and Vice President of Information Technology at Nations Bank. He holds Masters of Science at Barry University and Bachelors of Bus. Admin at University of Miami.

Tim Mather


Tim Mather is a cyber-security veteran with 20+ years as a security executive and adviser to security-related start-ups. Most recently he’s been the Chief Security Strategist at PatternEx. Prior to that he worked as a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Symantec, Splunk, Apigee, and Cadence Design Systems. He holds an MS in Information Assurance from Brandeis University and a BA in Political Economy from Berkeley.

Bob Flores


Bob Flores is an expert in cyber-security, secure communications, enterprise architecture, and cloud migration. He worked in the Central Intelligence Agent for over 30 years including a position as Chief Technology Officer. Most recently, he works as a partner at Cognitio Corp performing enterprise consulting services. He holds an BS and MS in Statistics from Virginia Tech.
